Ryan is going to be OK
For those of you who don’t already know, Ryan was in a pretty gnarly motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon. We don’t know a whole lot about what happened, other than that he t-boned an SUV and went flying over it landing on the street 15-20 feet away. He broke both of his legs, fractured his jaw, and had a lot of scrapes and cuts. He is pretty hurt, but the doctors say he will be fine. He just needs to rest and heal for a while.
We tried to visit him last night, but he had just gotten out of surgery, and so we couldn’t. I went back today with our friend Ron and said hello. They didn’t want us in there very long, just because he needs to rest a lot. He wanted to pose for a picture to show everyone he is in good spirits. Just a warning these pictures may be a little graphic.

Here is a picture of his helmet

And his backpack, that is not paint.

If you know Ryan, then you know why he is more than OK with me posting these pictures.

I am so glad he is going to be ok. I fear everyday as my fiance drives round trip to and from work 45 miles on a motorcycle. My love and prayers goes out to his family and friends. My prayers as well to the doctors taking care of him.

Ryan, the Bunco gals are praying God’s healing over you, what a miracle that you survived such a terrible accident. Our precious God is in the business of miracles, and know that his healing spirit is upon you. The pictures really show the severity of the accident, so glad you are going to be OK.

LB Girl,
I’d be very interested to know how you learned Ryan’s name… I can’t imagine the police would have willingly given anyone that information given the ambiguous nature of the accident.

“Miss Bug”,
It’s a small world and Long Beach is not that big of a city…

Praying that you continue to recover Ryan.

LB Girl – very disapointed to read your post. Your rants and vents in this forum were not only unnecessary and out of line, but the timing is rather childish. To lash out and attack anyone in a serious accident, on both sides, is the last thing thats productive to anyone! Instead, we should be focused on helping and praying for a recovery surrounded with love, friends and family
Whitney – Please refrain from such comments spoken from emotion next time, sit on it for a few days and reflect on what is really important for you. I’m sure every reader of this blog is thankful it wasn’t worse, and hope it serves as a constant reminder that we have so much to be thankful for!
Our continued thoughts and prayers go to frank … i also hope cathy, chris, and the rest of your family are doing well too
