We headed out of Mystic this morning and went straight through Rhode Island to Plymouth Rock.

The rock is kept in this cool structure right on the beach.

Also on the pier right next to the rock, they have the Mayflower II, which is a recreation of the original Mayflower ship.

Then from there we went up to Boston to meet up with my dad who flew in to hang out with us for a couple days. So we went out to dinner and then over to the bar from Cheers. The show was based off of this actual bar, it doesn’t look exactly the same inside, the layout is different, but the decor and furniture is all real similar.

We got to meet up with Drew Hyun from New Life Fellowship. They are a great church with a lot of cool things going on. You may have heard of their head pastor, Pete Scazzero, who is the author of a few books dealing with Emotional Health and Spiritual Maturity. You’ll have to listen to the podcast to hear all about what they have going on, cause it is definitely one of the most unique places we have been to.
Also, on top of being a very cool, multi-ethnic church, they also have a really cool building. It is an old Elks Lodge, and in the basement there is an old bar where they filmed several movies, including the bar scene from A Beautiful Mind.

We left Noel’s place this morning to go pick up our bikes from Woodrow’s garage in Queens but when we arrived I then discovered that both my sets of keys were still on the upper west side of Manhattan Island…this was a problem. Woodrow was nice enough to drive us back over and grab the keys and our stuff. This 20 mile trek took 3 hours! New York is crazy!
We finally got out of Queens around 3 pm which right around the time we got stuck in traffic. Then with the traffic we also hit 2 toll booths. In all, New York didn’t want us to leave! However, we finally escaped its grasps and made it to Mystic. It is only 125 miles but it took 3 1/2 hours! Rough start from our easy past couple of weeks.
In other news, this is a little late, but how are our podcasts? Are we leaving anything out that you all want to hear about? Any new questions we should be asking? Do we need intro music for our podcast? Drop us a line and let us know what you think.
