Just a quick update, I got my new Flip Camera, made a video on it and currently it is in the wrong format so I need to fix that. Other news, 2 days after getting my new camera, I broke it….. I am in the process of getting it replaced……Got a new diving knife for snorkeling…..broke the sheath 15 minutes after getting it, I have already replaced it. Apparently I am good at breaking things? I guess I should just not touch anything untill we leave. May be safer that way. Look out for a stupid video tomorrow or Saturday.

P.S. I don’t lose sleep over the trip I can’t wait to go. Kozmo should Man Up.

So I don’t exactly talk about this a lot, but i literally lose sleep almost every night because I am worried about this trip.  I am worried that we are not going to get everything done in time for the trip.  I am worried that we are only going to last part of the way.  I am worried that we are going to totally run out of money.  I am worried that no one will care about the trip, and no one will take us seriously.  I am worried that I will have no job when I come back home.  I am worried about all these things, and I can’t stop thinking about them.

And yet, I feel this overwhelming feeling that I have to do this.  That I have to give this a try.  It is very scary.

I just started reading “The Irresistible Revolution” by Shane Claiborne, and in the third chapter He talks about how we wanted to go work with Mother Theresa in Calcutta, but he was worried about what he would eat, and where he would live.  He even asked Mother Theresa this, and her response was very powerful, probably because Jesus said it first.  Here is what she said.

“God takes care of the lillies and sparrows, and God will take care of you. Just come.”

I have to believe God will take care of me, even if it doesn’t all end how I think.  So if you want to pray something for me about this trip, pray that I can first stop worrying, and then for God to take care of the rest.

I had to take my bike in to the shop yesterday to get the rear wheel replaced. I felt lost without it to ride…. The name of the new tire I got is the Pirelli Diablo. Pretty sweet name. I think I will start calling my bike the “black Diablo”.
On a different note I have gone to several dealers looking to buy my Suzuki Vstrom with no luck yet. Everyone is sold out? I guess thats a good sign if everyone is buying them. If anyone sees one for sale please let me know ASAP.

Last night was really day 2 even though I am now writing in day 3. Buy any way the message was pretty good. It was on prayer. I took some notes and so I am going to post whatvi wrote down here:

Prayer just like a lot of spiritual disciplines is meant to be communal as well as personal. That’s why it can be so powerful when done as a group.

Then I wrote this down, not because the speaker said it, but because I believe Gos did:

Spirituality is real manliness.

I guess that means that when I’m scared to pray or worship or show my love for Jesus, it’s not cause I’m tough, it’s cause I’m being a coward, and a real man embraces spirituality.
